MPP National Conference Call – 3/1/18

Graphic for Weekly Conference Call recap

On this week’s call, the MPP People’s Platform was resoundingly approved! MPP supporters voted on 35 changes and additions to the platform during the call. Many thanks to those of you who provided input on and support for this important and evolving document.

MPP stands in solidarity with the 35,000 public school teachers across West Virginia who have been on strike for more than a week over pay and benefits. The state’s legislature — specifically the Senate — rejected the agreement that would have ended the strike. If you’re in or near the area, please make an MPP sign and join the teachers on the picket line or share this important strike action on social media.

A couple reminders:
Be on the watch for great livestream interviews led by Nick on our Facebook Live MPP-TV and be sure to check the MPP Events Calendar for a number of upcoming events.

Important announcement:
National Conference Calls are changing to MONTHLY instead of weekly, on the fourth Thursday of each month. This will enable our national organizing team to participate in meetings with various groups and to focus on coalition building efforts. Don’t miss the next call Thursday, March 22 at 9:30 pm ET.
